Till and all,

thanks for the clarifications about the dialogs.  I didn't mean at all to complain about them, if it came out sounding that way -- I just didn't know what purpose they served.

I'd like to test this patch in a more controlled setting (trying to induce mail loss), but it may take some time for me to set that up properly.
