I only had the problem when I ran kmail with spamassassin on gentoo. I
stopped using it (kmail) since I couldn't afford to lose my mail. I hope
this helps.

<br><br><br><br><br>------- Additional Comments From larry garfieldtech com&nbsp;&nbsp;2006-09-27 04:35 -------<br>To my knowledge, I've never had data loss as a result of this bug.&nbsp;&nbsp;The first time I noticed it was when Debian Sid (my distro of choice) added the debugging code, which of course has now basically hosed my mail setup. :-(&nbsp;&nbsp;(I leave KMail running and use client-side filters over DIMAP to sort my 400 messages a day.&nbsp;&nbsp;The warning dialog prevents it from downloading any more mail, so it doesn't filter anything.)
<br><br>The pattern for me seems to be any time there's a difference between my local copy and the copy on the server.&nbsp;&nbsp;99.9% of the time, that's because something was just filtered into it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Eg, starting from fully synched, KMail checks for new messages and finds 15, 10 of which it filters into the Inbox/lists/list1 folder.&nbsp;&nbsp;The next time it checks for new mail, it sees that Inbox/lists/list1 has mail that the server doesn't, and whines at me that something was deleted on the server (false), in case I want to delete it locally.
<br><br>I don't know what other information I can provide to help track this down.&nbsp;&nbsp;If there is any, let me know and I'll see what I can dig up, because this has rendered my mail setup nigh on unusable.&nbsp;&nbsp;(Not the bug, the debugging code.&nbsp;&nbsp;I want that gone!)
