I have the same issue with the Sent folder, but I'm not sure if it happens on every message or not.  I haven't been able to confirm that yet.  And I actively try to avoid compiling things myself if I can avoid it.  That's why I use Debian in the first place. :-)  I'm not even sure how I'd selectively recompile a Deb-Src package (although that's OT for this thread).

Hopefully something in this rambling will help someone fix this issue. :-)
