Because I think it would be impolite, esp. because usually people dont remove

True, but he also wants his codebase to be used (and help people using their
hardware) :-)

Yes. ath5k is the future, everybody knows that. But madwifi will stay for some
time as it works *now*. (So Felix+Openwrt will support this codebase.)
