Bug#797834: mate-control-center-common breaks mate-control-center and remains in broken state

Dear Maintainer,
Was upgrading and came across this while upgrading :-

Unpacking mate-control-center-common (1.10.1+gfdl1-1) over
(1.10.1+dfsg1-1~exp1) ...
dpkg: error processing archive
/var/cache/apt/archives/mate-control-center-common_1.10.1+gfdl1-1_all.deb
(--unpack):
 trying to overwrite
'/usr/share/mate-control-center/pixmaps/subpixel-vbgr.png', which is
also in package mate-control-center 1.10.1+dfsg1-1~exp1

Then after upgrading (and those two packages not happening, then did) :-

$ sudo apt-get upgrade

Then installed the broken package and everything went back to normal :-

$ sudo aptitude install mate-control-center-common=1.10.1+gfdl1-1

Current status: 0 broken [-1], 1 update [-1].

I then proceeded to install mate-control-center. It seems the breaks
or whatever is needed is not proper as probably the .png file which it
was talking about was in the earlier version of mate-control-center as
just grepped through mate-control-center and didn't see anything.

$dpkg -L mate-control-center | grep png

while

$dpkg -L mate-control-center-common | grep png

gives bountiful :)

Used both apt-cache policy and aptitude search to see that neither of
the packages are in broken state.

$ apt-cache policy mate-control-center mate-control-center-common
mate-control-center:
