[debian-mysql] MySQL Roundtable at Ubuntu Developer Summit this coming Tuesday

If you are wanting a vibrant MySQL + clones community in debian why is 
clint mentioning dropping it in both.

I think one thing that needs to be carefully considered is the % of 
debian and ubuntu users who use either mysql or one of the clones. 
Unless Oracle plans to pull the plug on it I dont think its a good idea 
to drop mysql in either but provide the clones and variants in both 
ubuntu and debian. Clint can you explain why you would want to drop 
mysql in upstream debian and ubuntu, instead of just adding the variants 
and allowing the server admins to have a choice?
