Here are a list of possible goals, in no particular order. Please
mention anything you think we should focus on that is not listed here.
Also, I'd appreciate input on priorities. What is the most important for
a) your own goals, eg. for your preferred variant; and b) for Debian
generally?

* Symbols file in a branch, even it can't be merged yet, so that we can
prevent ABI incompatibility problems in the future.

* Resolution of variant directory sharing, including technical
implementation if necessary.

* Transition of MySQL from 5.5 to 5.6.

* Review and squash outstanding bugs.

* Improve build process (eg. use parallel builds).

* Make all build tests reliably pass, and remove any testing that isn't
useful to speed up the build.

* Make all dep8 tests reliably pass, and remove any tests that aren't
useful to speed up testing.

* Land Percona server in Debian (experimental?) and Vivid.

* Review common packaging code shared across variants and consider
eliminating it where reasonable and possible. For example: is it
possible to arrange things so that we can maintain common code in one
place?
