Package: icinga
Version: 1.4.0-1
Severity: minor

Hi,

icinga was just mentioned on irc so I looked at what it is and noticed
some things in the package description.

First the short description of icinga seems odd and doesn't match the
other packages:

1 icinga monitoring and host and network monitoring system -
                   metapackage
2 icinga-cgi host and network monitoring system - CGI scripts
3 icinga-common host and network monitoring system - support files
4 icinga-core host and network monitoring system - core files
5 icinga-dbg host and network monitoring system - debug files
6 icinga-doc host and network monitoring system - documentation
7 icinga-idoutils host and network monitoring system - icinga-dataobjects
                   support
8 icinga-phpapi host and network monitoring system - PHP API

The "monitoring and " seems to be wrong there.

Secondly the feature list bullet points use different delimiters. Two
end in ';', one in '.' and one has no punctuation.

Third the first feature reads:
  * monitoring of network services via ping, SMTP, POP3, HTTP, NNTP, or
    TCP port;

It might be better to indicate that this is just a subset of all the
ready to use plugins nagios provides and icinga can use. I missed DNS
and UDP (or IP as superset of TCP + UDP) in the list for what it's
worth.
