I also wondered.. why did this land in packages/ and not packages-wip/?
IMO preparation also includes teamify'ing and possible CDBSifying the
package.

We can change it, it doesn't hurt anyone. It has been done for several
libraries already. But there is no reason to do it now/immediately.

Yes, IMO you do.

Depends on whether the library of the application can be used by other
library and/or applications. In this case it needs to split of, like
for example rubygems/libgems-ruby.

Yes, it should be. Once Etch is release I hope to discuss all this
