You misunderstand.  By separate, I meant "in separate source packages"
not "separate from the team."

I am not opposed to team maintenance.  In fact I have been participating
with the Debian Perl Groups for a little while now and I think that the
strategy works quite well.  The problem to which I was referring in my
earlier mail was the one of keeping things up to date when you have
discrete components that can (and probably should) be separate packaged
together.  Think of it like X before modularisation.  Again, sorry for
the confusion.
