nmap: help wanted?

Hi,

sorry for the slower-than-expected progress. I'm still on it, so here
is an update. Turns out you were right and it wasn't as much a low
hanging fruit as I had expected ;) .

I've split nmap into nmap and nmap-common as previously discussed
and pushed that part to git. I've also investigated why we can't do
a proper autoreconf (this has come up before in a Debian bug [1] but was
never properly fixed). I've written a patch which seems to solve our
problems and have sent it to nmap-dev for feedback [2] .

Is what you have done so far still useful (and do you still have it)?
Because of the newly added nmap-common, nmap will have to pass the NEW
queue on the next upload… I doubt that ftp-masters will let it through
with the current state of the debian/copyright file.

If you have any previous work that I don't have to duplicate that would
be most welcome. Otherwise I'll be traveling on the weekend and hope
to get some (most?) of this done during bus rides.

Regards
Lukas
