Dear Michael,

thank you very much for your quick reply.
Sorry, I installed GNOME a couple of times on different Debian boxes and
NM always was usable without any adding users to groups.
I thought, that this is the default behaviour and wasn't aware, that
Debian handles it the way, that you have to add the users to groups or
use consolekit.
