X2go upstream has already forked nxagent as x2goagent. My current
favorite for X2go is to rename all NX libraries and make it a real NX
fork within X2go (as Jonas has suggested). This, of course, has to be
discussed with Heinz and Alex. I have a telephone appointment with
Heinz probably during next week.

Note that the X2go Git is rather new and the first commits are
actually import from a series of tarballs.

NX code in X2go: files from NX that have been changed for X2go are
still kept in Git as *.NX.original files (similar to what NoMachine
did, they renamed files to *.X.original files.

Ok... that's pretty recent... They are still working on NXv3? Well...
I did not know that...

I guess we should really take a look at what NoMachine has come up with...

We have to discuss how to proceed with NX (fork or use NX from NoMachine...).

I will bring the issue up on x2go-dev...

nxproxy? (you wrote: nxagent)

Hmmm... One thing that X2go has changed about nxagent is the Logo on
session logon (when run in desktop mode). The NoMachine logo has been
replaced by the X2go logo. That should be dealt with, I guess (by
adding a --splash option e.g.).

Thanks for all your work, I will make x2go-dev (upstream) aware of
this thread...

Greets,
Mike
