[sane-devel] About create a new backend

I have create a new backend for scanner as usb device for our company. It named as czur


When I check the libsane.so.1 on my linux system which is used by simple-scan, it is linked to libsane.so.1.0.27


But as http://www.sane-project.org/lj98/doc005.html#f6 say,  I should relink the libsane.so.1 to libsane-dll.so




Is this correct? 


If I do not relink the libsane.so.1, how it word with my new backend
