"daemon mode" is an invented term. I don't have documentation, but I was
just suggesting that without process control something might be going amiss.
On the other hand, I gave the example that I have absolutely no trouble
running 0.1.6 from initrd.
Initramfs is fairly easy to work with. I suggest just putting gdb on it
and seeing what happens.
