sorry for the delay.

I have performed some tests with such query:

select reference_id, message_id, random() as r from listarchives where project = 'debian-vote' order by r limit 10;

I search after with the message_id and check references.

I have tested it on debian-vote, debian-user, debian-user-french,
debian-user-german, 

=> It seems OK. Many thanks for the job!

My watch is not finished yet, it begins actually.

Question for Andreas: what is the state of the art of all the statitics
you have performed of these data already ? (In order to not reinvent the wheel).
