i'm not sure if i should fill this as bug or enhancement

i have part file samba-3.0.28a.tar.gz in /tmp/ but without *.st

$ cd /tmp
$ echo 1 > samba-3.0.28a.tar.gz
$ axel -a http://us3.samba.org/samba/ftp/old-versions/samba-3.0.28a.tar.gz -o samba-3.0.28a.tar.gz
>>> Downloading 'http://us3.samba.org/samba/ftp/old-versions/samba-3.0.28a.tar.gz'
No state file, cannot resume!

this maybe friendly to user so ppl won't overwrite full download file by mistake

but not this is friendly for batch jobs in *.sh, i just want it downloaded, so you (axel) do it, no complaining. i'd love to see an option to delete part file when no state file is found and starts download anyway
