After the Grub chooser, on default boot mode, I got
a black text screen, then one line, saying that /dev/sdb1
was clean, then nothing more happened.

In recovery mode, I got more than one screen full of
messages. The last line was vaguley security related,
but did not indicate any failure. A few lines above,
the was a Debian related line that contained "+APPARMOR",
among many other flags.

This recalled me that I had deinstalled apparmor. So
I mounted my root file system from a rescue disk,
installed apparmor, rebooted, and everything was
back to normal.
