Yeah.  It was discussed in

and the proposal there is to remove it.  Perhaps now is a good time to remove it?

I notice it was removed from testing already, so it will not become
part of Jessie unless someone beggs to get it included again.

Looking at

libao and liboggplay seem to be the only packages previously
maintained by John that we might care about in this context, and libao
is in reality maintained by Ron at the moment.
