I use linux mandrake 9.0 , downloaded an compiled sane-backends
1.0.9 with the latest scanimage souce. If I use the scanner in
windows and then switch to linux, it works fine; but no chance if I
do it directly after powering down the scanner. The debug output
is:
[sanei_debug] Setting debug level of snapscan to 2.
[snapscan] usb_write Only 0 bytes written
[snapscan] mini_inquiry: snapscan_cmd command failed: Error during device I/O
[snapscan] snapscani_check_device: mini_inquiry failed with Error during
device I/O.
[snapscan] usb_read Only 0 bytes read
and this is my proc/bus/usb/devices:

Also I have a soft link /dev/scanner0 < /dev/usbscanner.
