Sorry, some parts of this message will be in french. Mostly to discuss
of the best translation for "holder".

msgid "Holder focus position 0mm"
msgstr "Mise au pooint a 0mm"

Why not something like "Mise au point à 0mm de la vitre[1]" or "Mise au
point au niveau de la vitre" ? 
So the next message would be:

msgid "Use 0mm holder focus position instead of 0.6mm"
msgstr "Effectue la mise au point à 0mm de la vitre au lieu de 0.6mm

I'm not really sure of what is meaned by "holder" in that case. Usually
it means "support", so I guess that it refers to what the paper you want
to scan is on (usually the glass). Is that right ? 

[1] je n'aime pas le mot "vitre" pour décrire le support en verre sur
lequel est posé le document à numériser, mais je ne trouve rien de mieux
dans l'immédiat. Une idée peut être ?
