Hi everyone !

I email everyone to let you know about the test result of the last svn backport installation.
I have a CANON MF 4120 (MF 4100 series) and someone had developped a driver for his MF4150 that was supposed to work well on other 4100 models but no further test was done. So i inform you that it works !

I'm running on both OpenSuze 11.1 and Ubunu 8.10 and have done the following thing :
- install all the dependencies for backport compilation
- ./configure + make + make install
- then i checked that my usb printer was detected by sane-find-scanner and used the IDs to add a line in
/etc/udev/rules.d/<some_prefix>libsane.rules
- Add myself to 'lp' group
- Reboot and ....

Xsane worked fine.

In fact i have followed the instructions given by quackeroni_pizza in the ubuntu forum:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=878966

It would be great if you could thing about integrate this driver on the next release ... not only on svn.
Well i have to thanks all of you for the hard work and to help community to be able to use their devices on linux plateform.

Best regards,
Aurélien.
