[sane-devel] Fine control of scanner?

Hi,

I've been using SANE for an odd little project to run a typical Epson
consumer-grade flatbed scanner.  All works well.  (Thanks!)

It would be nice to have tighter control over the scanner; integration
time, carriage speed, etc.
Is that level of control hidden behind the scanner's interface or is it
something SANE might have access to?  I'm guessing that there's no easy
access, but thought it better to ask.
