Having read this again, I think I may have misunderstood you.

The knowledge-base tree was Nico's idea, but I have not heard from him since his
last post to the list (2nd Feb). The work we did in the NewbieDOC sandbox was
just playing around with ideas to see what was possible. It does not give access
to all the site's content, so it is not usable in its current form. When it
becomes usable I will happily put it on the main navigation menus.
