Especially on alioth? Why? In any case, that can be fixed.

Note that things would be more understandable if only Joerg#2
had commit access. (or, in place of him, one single designated
patch committer)

I'll assume you mean a private discussion.

I don't think this got posted to the mailing list before. What is
there to discuss? Either Joerg#1 rips out all the nonsense, or
he does not. Is there any reason to believe he will change?

If anyone is being threatened, perhaps it would be best to hand
this project over to somebody who does not live in the EU.
Threats are much easier to ignore if you live in Japan, the USA,
Canada, Australia, Russia, India, Brazil, Korea, etc.
