	Hello,

	shading calibration will give you the extra brightness you need. Check you 
don't have the GENESYS_FLAG_NO_CALIBRATION flag set. You might also check the 
genesys_send_shading_coefficient() function, and use a target_code for your 
CCD higher than the one use for the CCD_CANONLIDE35 you must be using.
	I noticed that you haven't tune the RGB CCD line-distance correction, hence 
the color artifacts before black/white areas. You can tune it in 
genesys_devices.c the ld_shift_[rgb] entries.
